To the chagrin (that’s French for “grief”) of American jokesters everywhere, the U.S. is now re-entering the era of discrimination towards other white people.
This follows reports that the Trump Administration is calling for Canada to remove protections for its French-speaking population amid trade negotiations.
“Fuck!!!!!! I can’t even make fun of their stupid road signs anymore. It’s like when I had to stop saying the Ukraine flag was too simplistic and weird after Crimea” said Julia Shrapnel, 26. Shrapnel is among millions of Americans facing the realization that the recent Canada-U.S. trade conflict is causing a cultural tear.
“It’s probably going to be fine though, so I’m not too worried about this trade-war, I just want to make fun of those Francophones again” said Shrapnel, pushing her very old car on the highway because she couldn’t afford gas. “I hope to replace this car soon with a brand-new one, with lots of steel.”
