“The Aspecticor Times” started after The New York Times’ mini crossword was paywalled, leaving Aspecticor, who played their mini every stream, without a crossword to do at the start of his broadcasts.
So I, and the occasional guest contributors, would make a mini crossword for every stream Aspecticor did on crosshare.org. This went on for 100 mini crosswords.
Mini Crossword #101 coincided with the launch of The Aspecticor Times’ website. With the use of Crosshare’s puzzle embeds I continued the per-stream crosswords, but I also decided to write a humorous article for every stream.
The Aspecticor Times now has various social media channels, where I occasionally post stream edits on the YouTube and humorous or informal posts on TikTok or Twitter.
